Introducing Dr. N.
Gregory Richardson... he cares.
Dr. Richardson graduated from Southern
California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California. He has clinical experience in
the Fullerton Eye Clinic, Los Angeles Veterans Administration, Santa Monica Center for the
Partially Sighted, Long Beach Naval Shipyard Clinic, plus over 19 years of experience with
patients of all ages in Pocatello, Idaho. Dr. Richardson takes a minimum of 20
credits of continuing education each year to keep current with new technology and
knowledge in the field. For example in the last few years, he has earned certificates in
occular drug therapy and laser surgery co-management.
Dr. Richardson loves kids and has given years of service to the Boy Scouts of America as a
Cub Master and Scout Committee Member. He completed the Woodbadge Leadership training in
2002 as a member of the Moose Patrol. For many years, he presented
puppet shows to 1st grade kids to teach eye safety in a fun way. (Look for the Dr.
Goodsight puppet in his exam room.)
When he can break away for a few days, he and his family enjoy hiking and boating at Red
Fish Lake. They also like to work on projects together such as the fort and waterfall they
built in their backyard. (He also built all the frame displays in the office.)
He enjoys refurbishing computers as a hobby. He does some programming and also puts
together networks. He especially likes Macs but has grown to appreciate IBM
computers too.
After hours, hes been caught turning up
the music and dancing to a steel drum band, or rocking out to a current tune.
Dr. Richardson loves being an Optometrist and
really enjoys meeting and helping the great people of Southeast Idaho. He wants his
patients to feel comfortable and to have the best service available. We know you will
enjoy your time with him.

Dr. Richardson chooses his staff for their warmth of personality.
He wants the office to be a fun place to be.
Dr. Richardson became interested in Optometry as a
child when he put on his first pair of glasses. He was enchanted to see leaves on
the trees and stars in the sky. That's when he decided he wanted to help other
people see what he was seeing for the first time. |
